On June 29th, 2020, Joseph DeAngelo entered a guilty plea for 13 homicides, 13 counts of kidnapping with intent to rob, and admitted to committing dozens of rapes and other offenses. On August 21st, 2020, he was given the maximum sentence afforded by the law: 11 consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole and another life sentence with extra years on top of it. Joseph DeAngelo will never get out of prison.

While this case is now closed, there may be additional legal matters (such as a hearing regarding restitution in one of the murder charges) or other developments posted to this blog in the future.
